Frey, Carter to Join Bloomberg, Others in Discussing Gun Laws and Policy

Gun laws and policy at the local, state and federal levels will be the topic of an event featuring former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the mayors of both Minneapolis and St. Paul Monday afternoon.

A release said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter will join Bloomberg, Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Stephen Venable, whose father and brother were shot and killed in a home invasion in 2004, and others.

The event is scheduled to run from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday at WA Frost, located at 374 Selby Avenue in St. Paul.

Too bad people on the gun rights side have jobs and lives and stuff and don't have time to go protest things like this. I'm sure if local elected officials were meeting with the NRA the lefties would be out in force crying and wailing and blocking streets.

A whole hour and a half? Not going to be much of a discussion.

But we already knew that.
I will never apologize for being an American.

I’m surprised that he’d actually lower himself to being seen in fly-over country.

I think Bloomberg's group is responsible for sponsoring the "NEWS" reports on MPR that take the victim's of the mass murders, single people out and do an in depth interview with friends and family members to "humanize" the tradgedy by introducing the victims with an examination of their life and whose lives they have touched.

The down stroke is that senseless gun violence has deprived the world of a remarkable person, guns are bad.
