Purchase delayed

Postby crshooter on Sun Nov 25, 2018 7:02 am

I have purchased 4 handguns and an AR lower in the last year without issue. I also have a valid carry permit and put down my SSN. Absolutely nothing about my status has changed. Last night I went to buy a new P938 at Cabelas and was delayed by the NICS.
Why would that happen?
Do delays ever get cleared up on Sundays?
Thanks for any insight

My guess would be being Black Friday and all, NICS was overwhelmed by the volume of checks.

I've been getting a lot of delays over the past month. I think it's a problem of either personnel or software issues. Your delay probably won't get cleared up on Sunday. I'd assume a 3 business day delay.

How else can the socialists make us all equal (in misery)?

I'm betting in the next week or two we'll be treated to an article or two on record gun sales from this past weekend.

I don't know... I know every year on Black Friday gun sales seem to break a record, but I'm saying this year did not break any records. Seemed slow to me.

I'm curious to see if I'm right or not.

Its possible that after a decade or more of panic buying the market might be saturated...

Tho I am thinking about a Taurus g2c maybe.

Or go buy another gun somewhere else just to see what happens next. There’s got to be another one you want now too. :D

Just be thankful that MNLARS isn’t running the system.
