Just got one of these to upgrade my first generation Lee hand primer since the Lee won't fit 338 Lapua heads. After assembling it with a Redding shell holder, it won't seat the primers even flush. They're a good 5-7 thou proud of the case.
Is this a common flaw? Seems like tolerance stacking could be to blame if the handle pivot pin hole was off, the primer insertion rod was short, and or the transfer bar from the handle was too short.
There's a casting flash ridge right on the lever paddle, so I'm tempted to return the thing anyway. Just curious if anyone else has seen or heard of this?
I also had as many as 3 large rile primers stack up in the loading chute within the first hundred cases. I've never had that happen with the Lee.
