My colt licensed pot metal 1911 made by Walther/Umarex is a great shooter and awesome suppressed. Hard to come by here though.

There's a S&W 422 on Armslist right now for $325. I have the 6" version of that same gun. Always been very reliable, it was my first pistol from back in the late 80's. Those also make great suppressor hosts because the barrel is in the lower half of the front receiver (?) section, so seeing over the can isn't a problem.

+1 on the 422. Very accurate and reliable for me.

I love my S&W Victory. I added the Tandemcross trigger and a cheap reddot.
