Worried Residents Sue Minneapolis Leaders Over Crime Spike
Northsiders believe the city council’s plan to defund Minneapolis police is the root cause of the spike in crime.

“You cannot disband and dismantle police departments and leave communities such as this where we face the worst disparities in the nation you cannot leave us with nothing,” Spann said.

Cathy Spann is one of eight north side residents to file a law suit against Minneapolis, claiming city council has made Minneapolis a more dangerous place to live, especially for people who live in higher crime areas.

I'm not a fan of class action lawsuits, but in this case, I'd make an exception.

I kinda wish people would just abandon their homes en masse, then sue the city to buy their homes at or just above fair-market-value (prior to the riots)... though if they had the money to move they wouldn't have been living in Nort' in the first place...

The city doesn't have any money.

Good point. They should personally sue the asshats on the city council, the mayor, etc.. There has to be some point where "I'm just stupid and bad at my job" is no longer a reasonable defense for the actions of politicians.

There's an old saying that you get the government you deserve.

Might come a time when we regret there is such a saying but then we can blame all those "asshats"

Great question. If you look on next door and other social media, the city is ticked off and swearing to vote out mayor and city council. Great, here's the problem, the voters are hardcore leftist voters. They might vote out some of the current crop of commies, but they will only vote for the next batch of commies. In fact, the liberal mind is so warped, that they will double down. They won't change, if the current policies fail then the answer is to go harder left.

So the answer is, whomever is the bigger communist - will be the next person to hold those offices. If you have any doubt, just look to all the other big cities that are farther along on the communist utopia journey, Mpls/StP are just behind on the curve. It will just get worse.

And how would you sue the city to buy your home for above market value?
