Needed a new bolt action chambered in 308WIN. Local dealer had this on clearance for $679! They retail for $1300 on Savage website. Topped it with a 1 piece mount and a cheap Vortex Crossfire II scope for now.

Might bag me a deer this weekend with it.

Nice score. I snagged a 10 FCP a couple years ago on sale with the old stock. Last one they were dumping for Savage rifles with the new stocks. Saved around 200 bucks. Give us a range report after you use it. My savage 10T I sold to fund the 10 FCP loved 178 ELD-X. The 10 FCP loves the 200 ELD-X. Only thing I hate about Savage bolt rifles is the magazine.

You got yourself a nice rifle there.

I picked one up a few years back when I was living in AZ. I found that mine likes a hand load of 175gr SMK over a load of Varget powder.

Got my cheap bi-pod in the mail today. Probably won't do any serious shooting with this rig til after the new year. Been so busy with the new house it's taking up all my free time.
