Fallow Rutting

I was out at last light yesterday and heard the unmistakable sound of antlers clashing . I watched these two bucks really having a go . It’s a bit early, but the rut is on its way.

That would be a memorable experience. Where about - generally speaking - did you hear them?

Being a 'glass is only half spilled' kind of guy, I assume this is a remarkable coincidence...

I think you got time. I read just today it's a bit early. But yeah, you want to get to a spot before they all get taken...And you probably got a bit of a drive ahead of you.

I’ll pull the boat out of storage sound like I might need it to get across the pond. Anybody wanna take a guess on how much gas I need to take for a trans Atlantic crossing with a 9 horse evenrude?

Maybe the YANKEE GIRL is still bobbing around someplace nearby... You could save the gas money for ammo.

Gerald F. Spiess (January 24, 1940 – June 18, 2019) was an American school teacher best known for having sailed his 10-foot (3.0 m) home-built sailboat Yankee Girl solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1979 and across the Pacific in 1981
