IIRC, the NG was activated for the Chauvin trial, so it wouldn't (shouldn't) be too difficult to divert some resources from downtown to Brooklyn Center.

It was attributed to Reason magazine in the 2nd post of the thread.

Yes, jdege's post earlier in this thread. Didn't think I needed to drag along all the baggage of the multi-quote to reference that one part.

I enjoy Officer Tatum's commentary on these matters and this is no exception. He breaks down the body camera footage.
Great perspective on many levels.

Thanks.
That was good.
It hits on two points not widely discussed.

The failures of the first officer,
and
the actions of the officer who shot the kid being seemingly overwhelmed by the situation.

What is confusing is that she has been a BC PO for 25 years. It's hard to understand how she could have made it this long.

I'm guessing she doesn't spend much time as a patrol officer, or at least hasn't lately.

Maybe short on staff?

Is she a victim of the same PC system that has kept her employed this long? Unions are famous for defending weak performers, which is not necessarily dangerous in most circumstances, but certain areas its not a good idea. I have no way of knowing what her history is, but a City that fires an administrator and a police chief for wanting to grant the same due process rights to the officer as they would the criminal says a lot about their woke-ness. Tells me they wouldn't dare take action on a union protected public servant.......well, until it's their own ass they are protecting.....

On the news tonight they said she was training the male officer and she was the Union rep. As for the Chiefs resignation, when the city council tells you, you can’t use flash bangs, tear gas or rubber bullets, I don’t blame him for leaving. If it wasn’t for the state patrol using theirs we most likely would have lost the police department’s only building. My still if the city council keeps it up. As much as I would hate to see it I wouldn’t hold it against the rank and file if they resigned in mass.

Oh yeah, Mayor Um-Ah-Er. Not exactly a master of oration.
