Tumbling bullets

Postby Bearcatrp on Wed Jul 21, 2021 12:40 pm

Is it safe to tumble bullets in corn cob media? Have never needed to before but bought a package deal for 10mm and some of the bullets look like they came out of the adams family closet 20 years ago. 180 hollow points. Don't need shiny stuff but just clean them up a bit. Thanks.

if they are just "bullets", not cartridges, just dump them in some vinegar with a little table salt mixed in and swish them around for a few seconds then rinse with clean water.
They will be clean enough in a few seconds.
if you are talking cartridges ie. loaded ammo yes that's safe to tumble in corn cob

Bullets to heavy for a vibrating cleaner. Didn't do crapola after an hour. I'll use these to break in the pistol.
