The black shirt guy was the aggressor. The DA will have to decide. The some what bigger issue I would have is a “ right for life” person using deadly force in this situation. What we don’t know is was the guy in the vest “compromised” health wise and the lady protecting him. What seems interesting is that the vest guy is shown holding a firearm. Can we tell who actually fired the shot from this video. If the guy fired then we have a continuum of forced.

Lots of potential for ‘discussion’ here; given the context of the confrontation.
A few random thoughts.

This will make for great drama on the various social media platforms.

Given my age, and medical issues, I would be compelled to defend myself by any means possible if someone was trying to punch me in the head.

It is legal to protest, and legal to be armed, doing both could be a lapse in judgment. The shooter is likely in for a rough ride, and no minds were changed.

I don’t understand why the chemical deterrent failed.

The man certainly made attempts to withdraw

I’m not completely sure who fired; likely the man, but two people appear armed. .

As to a ‘right-to-life’ advocate shooting someone in self defense, I see that to be consistent reasoning.

Had this happened locally in the TC Metro area, the shooter would be screwed, I’m quite sure.

The media’s pronouncement of calling the perpetrator the victim is telling.
