It is called incrementalism, and it is the way things get done. We have the technology and now Obama has discovered the need. Next step is to apply the technology to the need. He is not going to be the one to propose the solution, but he will be the one to make it apparent.
Five years ago who would have believed that the federal government would could fire the CEO of General Motors. Impossible, but it happened. That's not the end game, but a baby step on the slippery slope of socialism.
Good idea to have a beer, but let's not ignore what is going on around us.
It's called paranoia, and while a small amount is healthy, reading dastardly plots into everything proposed by anybody on any subject is not.
Do you honestly think it is a better solution to have vets, some very elderly and some severely disabled waiting weeks if not months to obtain their medical records from the DoD or the VA so they can get better treatment for their illness or injury, suffered in the service of their country, is preferable to the DoD and/or VA centralizing their files so they can be transmitted electronically to whichever provider they are trying to see?
If you really want to worry about something, try freaking out over the confidential information and whatnot held on you by Credit Bureaus. None of which is subject to oversight or checking for verification, and all of which can, and does, have a deleterious effect on your lives, and the lives of your immediate family. Try asking to see that information (and I'm not talking about your credit report) and see how far you get.
Give me a break.
You put the words in your own mouth. I quoted you, as shown above in the paragraph regarding paranoia.
The latest link shows that the President is making great claims regarding his plans, which can no longer be excused as campaign promises. It is cause for suspicion, because his claims are impossible. If you don't agree, tell me how his going to deliver.
I believe we are in the off-topic section, and I believe that I am still off topic.
