Pretty darned cool! Does anybody know if we have a 1000 yd range in Minnesota? Outside of golf courses...

yep indeed there is a great facility up in harris for 1000yd shooting, here is the website http://www.grrc.org

If there is I don't know about it. West Branch has 500 yards, which is in Princeton, and is the only gun range there AFAIK.

You have to love the fact that he did little more than shove a bullet in a case over some powder and called it good and set a new world record.

Goes to show you - sometimes the more you do to a case and a load the less you will get in the end.... Good for this guy - awesome.

That's because it's all in your head. You need to prep cases enough that, when lying or sitting behind the rifle, you KNOW that your platform is going to perform if you do.

He obviously wasn't mentally handicapped by not prepping. I know people who would seriously mind-f*&k themselves if they didn't at least weigh cases and neck turn.....

I don't think even a golf course would apply since most don't have a hole longer than 600 yards or so! ;)

There's a 1000yarder here, but it's a private range, not open to any membership. (it's in a guys back yard)
