I could have been reading that wrong, but one version says that you might not be using a holster. Another version says IWB holster.

Hoping there is a holster if you OC. Not passing judgement if its either way, just hoping.

I was inside the store..only as far as the registers. My Bersa was in a High Noon tuckable holster..I NEVER carry without one.

I am in complete agreement with you guys. I did not want to show him it. The 10 seconds I was "waiting" to see what he would do..I was playing out what "could" happen.

I showed to keep the peace.....I want to use this to train the guard what was right and wrong.

still pondering what to do

A well worded letter to the manager explaining the law might help.

You should have just shouted 'Molon Labe!' and run away.

I myself open carry all the time when i am out in my neighbor hood or when i run to the local liqour store i have been going to for years where they know me. There are certain places to open carry and then there are the ones you dont want to.

Menards for example has a policy if the gun can be seen they have to leave if some one complains about it. Several times i have had to ask customers to cover the gun with their shirts or they will have to leave, and after explaining the copmpany policy ( from Wis ) they comply or get pissy and leave. The policy is based on the fact that if some one complains wether it is a customer or employee, it is deemed as creating a hostile enviroment. But i get to carry a gun as i provide a sense of security for the customers and a hostile on for the bad guys :D

And really if you step back and take a look at it there are a lot more paying customers out there who do not have a permit to carry than those who do so the corporate man is going to listen to the majority and not the minority,

And you may want to contact the company that is providing security at the store as they are a contract service so you can talk to cub all you want about the guards actions, but he is a member of a contract service that cub that has assumed liability for their actions, so cub has no control over what they do. And believe me if it is a company called Lonestar i wish you good luck.

I have a permit and I carry, but only the last few months, so I don't know all the ins and outs. I am an adamant advocate of 2A rights and carry, so I'm not trying to troll.

But, I try to put myself in the other guy's shoes. Where on Lake Street is this Cub? Is it in a bad neighborhood? If I was a guard at a store that had problems with armed robbery, I might be glad to have permitted holders in-store, but not criminals with guns. How do you tell the difference? Of course, I suspect Steve looks very respectable, but that might not be 100% accurate in screening out BG's.

BTW, the Cub in Chanhassen had an [in-store TCF] bank robbery in the last few months. I don't recall if it was armed or not.

The folks robbing the place are the bad ones. The guy who just paid and is bagging his groceries? Not so much.

Sometimes one in the same, but then again that what they get for accepting both store and manufacturer's coupons! Plus 20 cents off gas! Sweet!

I've been in that Cub before as posted in another thread, & the guard had an empty holster then too. We only go when when I take my Mother In law there. When I'm there it's concealed. I think one of the guards did have a firearm but I can't remember for sure. We like to bring her back to SLP.
