They are McGuns? Would you like a 30 round mag with that, sir?

Who he's talking about are the people that suck hard on the d-k of Glock. "What? You need a pizza cutter? Well, a Glock can do that! You need a new car? Well, get a Glock!" etc....and that isn't me.
XDM45 wrote:grousemaster wrote:XD's are cheaper, and more easily replaceable, same with an M&P.....interesting he relies on a Glock to protect his life on a daily basis. I must ask XDm45, what is your experience with the Glock line of pistols? I can assume you've run a course or two with one? OR at the very minimum fired a couple?
The idea that a Kia is a superior vehicle to a Honda Civic is laughable....even from a clown like this. It's the cherry on top!
I've fired quite a few Glocks. I like the snap they have in them when they fire, but the overall feel of the gun turns me off. You know how they say first impressions matter and you can't ever get a second one? I place a lot of importance on that when it comes to guns. If I hold a gun for the first time and it doesn't feel right, I don't care how good of quality it is, how it fires, chances are, it's not a good gun for me and I'm not a good owner for it. Glocks and I are like that. We're just no good for each other. Technically, mechanically, they may be the best dang gun ever made, but if it doesn't fit like a glove, forget it. Guns are like that for me, so are musical instruments, jewelry, and a few other things as well. I don't want to have to learn to like it or to tolerate it, I want it to be right for each other from the start.
When I picked out my XDm, I held several of them before finding the one I liked. For something as personal as a gun, musical instrument, jeweler, etc, I place more importance on feel and vibe than I do on quality. Of course quality and workmanship matter too and are very important, but what good is a high-quality something you won't use or feel right with?
Technically, I think Glocks are great guns..... just not great guns for me. they are built well, LEOs all over use them, simple, easy to tear down, re-assemble, get parts for, etc....all great things.... but that vibe, that feel, it's just not there for me with Glocks. If someone can show me a Glock I'll like, I'll buy it. It just hasn't ever happened yet, and I've held and fired quite a few of them. They just aren't my bag.

For a guy who bought his first pistol 18 months ago, you've really acquired a high level of expertise. Bravo.

He really has less than 2 years of experience with a handgun? That makes some things a LOT clearer to me.

Hello all,
I'm a new gun owner having just purchased two firearms, a Ruger Mark III 2245 Standard (not the more commonly seen bull nose. Mine looks similar to a Luger P08) and a Springfield XDM 45 with a 4.5" barrel in dual tone coloring. Both weapons are an absolute joy to work with and a perfect fit for me.

Who shoots it? Do you like them? What was your first experience with it? Do you have a distaste for their marking (I read an article from a guy who was turned off by Glock's "Perfection" marketing)? Etc.
I usually tell my children not to argue over "preferences".

The fact of the matter is this, you have very little experience with other handguns and limited experience with your current gun yet preach XDM/S and scold Glock. This is the exact audience the person who made the video is talking about.
