I for one would love to see the laws enforced and scum like this burglar working on a prison farmn for the rest of his life. What I DO object to, and the reason for my post, is that quick-draw types just itching to pull their piece on someone give the entire law-abiding, legally carrying community a bad name. We as a community of gun owners HAVE ENOUGH TROUBLE without trigger happy would-be vigilantes making the national news and giving the entire voting public a skewed and incorrect image of us. I would love for you to find me a single P2C instructor, here in MN or in any other state who agrees that what this guy did was a good idea.
My astute analysis is that many folks from left leaning, high tax, high amenity states assume everybody shares their values. And when they come to a free state like New Hampshire, they screw it up. This is a very progressive, over-legislated state. I know PTC is a relatively new deal here. In the four states I have lived in (prior to the Utopian Tundra) and had a carry permit, it's been around a long time NONE had instruction requirements. They are BS in my book. The less sophisticated places I lived (northeast and mid-Atlantic) tended to have gun friendly political climates and things like castle doctrine and liberal class three weapons laws. The bad guys are usually pretty well identified, and the good guys don't get their balls busted for doing mean things to bad guys. Sorry, I don't buy into the we better be nice or Heather Martins will tell the Star Tribune how uncivilized and dangerous we are.
I hear that "He needed killin'" is still a valid legal defense in many southern states

And while I probably wouldn't shoot somebody over a TV, I want every low life, scum, bag, maternal fornicating thief to be think I will. And scared out of their minds at the thought. Plant a few dirt-bags and most of the rest will learn to get a new hobby.
