The Inver Grove Heights WM got in last night 100 packs of 38 spec., 40S&W, 50 pack of 9mm and 357. Still had some left at 8PM. I call the stores within 10 miles of me: West St. Paul, IGH, Eagan, Woodbury, and Hastings. It seems like they typically get a few good boxes in during the week. Starting to see a lot more ammo these days.

I've been checking 223 prices on the intarwebs and was wondering if anyone was aware of local prices for less than $0.40 per round. Wideners has Privi Partisan for $359 per 1000 or about $0.38 per round delevered.

IIRC, Fleet Farm in Lakeville had Brown Bear for around $7 per box when I was there this past Sunday.

It's worth giving LastunShop a call or stopping by. I found .38 and .357 Mag there at a decent price.

Maple Grove Gander has American Eagle 9mm as of yesterday but, $19.99...higher than others I've seen for the same stuff.

Just bought my daughter a Ruger LCP. Not a fan of the .380, but she may carry this more than her S&W 642.

Anyone seen any good prices on .380 ammo out there? Locally at one shop the cheapest was $29.

Hart Brother's Weaponary just south of Albert Lea on Hwy. 13 had plenty of it a couple of weeks ago.

He had Blazer aluminum case 95 gr FMJ for about $16/ 50. The most expensive was Sellier & Bellot 92 gr FMJ for $30 / 50. He also had Reminginton 102 gr hollow points and Winchester FMJ for about $20 to $26 per 50. He is the only place I saw 380 ACP for sale other than some Corbon DPX and Buffalo Bore lead at Cabela's. There was none at Scheel's in Mankato a couple weeks ago.

She'll have to try my Kahr P380. A lot less recoil than my Keltec P3AT.

(My Kahr P380 was return to Kahr because of light primer strikes, failures to feed and the extractor will not jump over the rim when the slide is dropped on a round in the chamber. The thing really shoots nice when it has worked.)
Because I care, I carry.

Nope, none at Mankato Scheels today. I want to pick up another 50 .380 practice ammo with re-loadable brass and 25 or 50 carry type ammo to throw in my daughters birthday present package. For those that wonder, I went with a Ruger LCP because my daughter shot it at Ahlmans last weekend and really liked it.

I will have to maybe swing down Harts on my way to Rochester this week, unless someone can point to a place in the south or west metro area.

Joe's Sporting goods in Roseville has American Eagle 9mm luger 115g FMJ for 12.99 per 50rd box. I was in saturday and picked up a case of 1000. They had about 15 more cases left. Note: limit one case per person :D

Ammunition Found in Maple Lake, MN

Postby IDPA Shooter on Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:00 pm

At H&H Sports in Maple Lake we saw many cases of Fed American Eagle:

1,000 rounds of 9mm $249
1,000 rounds of 40cal $349
250 rounds 0f 45ACP $109

They also had cases of Speer TMJ brass in 9mm for $299

The buy the box prices were bad and these are good, not great, but they have many, many cases. I asked about limits and he said probably 2,000 rounds per caliber. I like that better than the more common 2 or 3 boxes.

I have a couple boxes of Federal Premium Personal Defense Hydra-Shok JHP 90 Grain. I believe they were around $25 each. Actually, one box is full, the other is just over half full. I have no use for them.
