2004 Mazda 6 - updated

Postby EJSG19 on Wed Oct 14, 2009 7:54 am

We've decided to sell my fiance's car, as she wants a vehicle with a bit more space.

Its a 2004 Mazda 6, silver color. Its got leather, heated seats, sunroof, cd changer, etc.

Price was $9,400 now She's got it listed at $8,000 on craigslist. Thought I'd mention it here in case anyone is in need of a decent vehicle.

ETA: We'll be considering reasonable offers.

Well her sense of urgency has stepped up a little, with winter on the way.

Price reduced to $8,000 OBO, in the interest of a quicker sale and avoiding a lot of negotiation.

Can contact me by PM.

True. Thats been brought up more than a couple times. Her deciding to get her PTC (not a CCW  was a miracle in itself. She is still not a regular carrier though. Occasionally there is a Kimber Pro tle on board with her and I though. Generally on the way to the range only though.

If you look real close there is some advertising going on for westberg's SABRE defense spray though :)

We accept 47d's as compensation 8-)

You do understand why she wants a bigger car, right? Has nothing to do with the dog.

Well...

I figure fill as many rooms as possible with reloading supplies, gun safes, unfinished projects, deer antlers, etc. that there isn't room for a crib, changing table, gold-plated diaper trash can, and kissing my comfortable retirement good bye...

Anyone have any old transmissions they need stored?

Yeah but from other threads he apparently wants to post pictures of his unit these days, leaving me suspicious.

My Jeep Wrangler transmission (I think) is making a metallic buzzing/rattling sound, how much to fix that?

Just a bump. She's now got her sights set on the replacement vehicle. So this car will likely be traded in in the next couple weeks.

Given what a dealer wants to give for trade in (you guys know how that goes) and what this car retails for, there is a fair gap in there.

*Reasonable offers will now be considered.*

One thing I know of with her car after driving it lately. The check engine light comes on, however we've had it into the mechanic twice, different mechanics. Both say nothing is wrong, only that it might be the gas cap not making a perfect tight seal. Their opinion is that Mazda charges something like $230 for a gas cap, so it isn't worth fixing, as it has no noticeable affect on the car's performance. Other than that, with the amount of miles on the car, I'm thinking the clutch might be due for an adjustment or inspection at least. Just trying to keep things as transparent as possible. All regular maintenance has been kept up very well.

I'll let this thread die if no response after this. Car is in good shape, and is a good value based on what I've seen.
