what are the reasons for getting them? I've heard felony DUI/DWI, or any offense involving firearm in a car while over .04bac...

Well the guns that didn't get lost in the boating accident might be in the 366 from my local neighborhood.

The incident on 39XX Fremont N makes me sick.

Preliminary Report of Shoot 12-07-09 21:55 hrs 09-372592
Officers responded 34XX Humboldt on a report of a shooting. Witnesses informed officers that victim had been transported to Hsp. Officers went there and spoke to the victim, a juvenile male, who had a gunshot wound to the top of his foot. V1 stated that he was walking across the street from a friend’s house to his house and approached by an unk male, who asked V1’s name and then began shooting (multiple times) at V1. There were no reports of shots in the area or a ShotSpotter activation. Officers checked the area.

4TH PRECINCT HIGHLIGHTS - WEEK 621 – Dec. 15 to Dec. 21, 2009



MPD provides this public safety information as a public service. These highlights are not reflective of all incidents handled or investigated by MPD during this time. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.



ASSAULTS:

ASLT2

Glenwood Av & Morgan Av N Tuesday 12-15-09 02:50 hrs 09-378595

V1/BM – 37 yrs., taxi driver gave S1/unk, George - BM (20-25 yrs.) 505 – 509”/muscular a ride and he failed to pay fair. S1 got out and shot 3 times at cab. Cab had 2 bullet holes in driver’s side. S1 gave info that he had just moved here from Chicago.



ASLT2

16XX Washington Av N Wednesday 12-16-09 15:00 hrs 09-379941

V1/African BM – 23 yrs. was shot in leg/wrist areas at a gas station by S1/unknown – 0. V1 would give no information and crime scene not located. Gang related. A baby blue suburban had pulled in and started firing at V1 and “B Mac.”

16XX Hillside Av N Wednesday 12-17-09 23:34 hrs 09-381280

Officers responded to a call of AP1/Webb, Shane – BM 18 yrs., AP2/BM – 15 yrs., AP3/BM – 17 yrs. and AP4/BM – 17 yrs. with a short/sawed-off shot gun (Winchester 12 GA) and a COLT .22 Cal 6” BBL semi-auto pistol had entered the home of V1/BM – 25 yrs., V2/BF – 23 yrs., V3/BM – 24 yrs. and V4/BF – 19 yrs. plus small children. Susps ordered all to floor and demanded cash. They threatened to shoot everyone. Officers were able to apprehend all and no one was hurt.

33XX Thomas Av N Sunday 12-20-09 04:40 hrs 09-383519

V1/WM – 24 yrs. paramedic and V2/WF-27 yrs. paramedic called for help because they were assaulted by S1/BF – 18 yrs./drunk who was screaming, spitting and spraying blood all over back of ambulance. S1 had pulled out her IV, bitten a paramedic and spit on another while they were trying to administer emergency medical care. Officer did not arrest S1 because she was previously assaulted prior to ambulance arrival and had to be sedated. S1 was ID’d by DVS web-site.

29XX Penn Av N Monday 12-21-09 20:00 hrs 09-384826

V1/BM – 24 yrs. had called his cousin to come over and when he did, there was S1/unk BM with southern accent, 30s, 6 ft., short fade in a black hoodie facing V1 in middle of Penn Av. S1 was holding something in left hand - a knife that he had stabbed V1 with in the back. Officers spoke to V1 at Hsp. and injury is NLT. He stated S1 wanted money and was driving a dark grey Ford Taurus – mid 90’s w/front plate that read METRO FORD in a red color. Witness’s story varied at times.

15XX Broadway Av W Saturday 12-19-09 00:50 hrs 09-382413

V1/WF – 18 yrs. was walking home from a friend’s house in an alley behind a car wash when S1/unk BM 20-30 yrs. – 508”/med. build/dread locks down to ears grabbed her indicating he had something in his pocket. S1 raped her and then fled on foot. V1 went to Hsp. for SARS exam.

Morgan Av N & Olson Mem Hwy Saturday 12-19-09 03:30 hrs 09-382551

Officers dispatched to a location where V1/mixed race female – 24 yrs. /drunk stated she was at Augie’s Bar w/friend and then went to Pizza Luce. Her girlfriend said she was leaving w/a male friend and that V1 would have to find her own way home. V1 asked S1 for a ride because she has seen him around neighborhood/bars downtown. S1/unk BM 27 – 32 yrs. (508”) dark skin/moustache & goatee/shaved hair was driving a tan 4 dr. /MN SSD602/FORD Contour. S1 did drop V1 off at one point and then followed her telling her to get back in car. She refused so he pulled her hair, forced her in car and sexually assaulted her. S1 then dropped her off near her home.

21 Av N & Lyndale Av N Tuesday 12-15-09 20:30 hrs 09-379627

V1/BM – 34 yrs. /dreads & moustache/goatee stated he was robbed at gunpoint by S1/unk BM 26-30 yrs. /lt. skin & build 511”/moustache and reported the crime the next day. V1 had been in Citgo Gas Station getting change and followed by S1 who pulled a black handgun demanding money. V1 gave up $80 and both fled. Suspect has been seen before w/a relative’s friend.

39XX Fremont Av N Tuesday 12-15-09 13:30 hrs 09-378896

V1/African BF – 47 yrs. was walking NB when S1/unk African BM 25-30 yrs./dark/506” (wearing a black puffy jacket w/hood and black knit cap w/grey emblem on front) came running toward her and grabbed her blue purse. V1 chased S1 but lost him.

30XX Oliver Av N Sunday 12-20-09 02:20 hrs 09-383445

R1/brother of V1 was translating for V1/Mexican male – 22 yrs. who had just been robbed of his car keys, wallet w/Debit card, and Consult ID by S1/unk and S2/unk– BMs/20-22 yrs. (509-600”) – dark skin dressed in all black and black handgun.

29 Av N & Bryant Av N Sunday 12-20-09 03:03 hrs 09-383470

V1/WM – 23 yrs. was punched/pistol slapped (lt. eye cut) by S1, S2, and S3/unk BMs (18-35 yrs.) 600”/ST/shaved heads w/handguns – all having same descriptions. V1 is from Chicago and came to Mpls. to visit a female friend who lives in Uptown. They went to a bar in Uptown and lost touch with each other so he assumed she went home. V1 started walking when approached by the 3 suspects offering him a ride for cash in a dark colored Grand Marquis. V1 agreed and got into vehicle where he was assaulted and robbed of $80.

V1/WM – 20 yrs., V2/WM – 18 yrs. and V3/WM – 17 yrs. were robbed at gunpoint by S1/unk BM (20-30 yrs.) med. build/dk skin (509- 510”) and S2/unk BF (20-30 yrs.) dk skin. V1 was kicked in face and had I-Phone/Apple value of $250 w/case-$60 stolen.

13XX Dowling Av N Monday 12-21-09 17:08 hrs 09-384640

V1/BF – 60 yrs. was robbed of her purse as she approached apartment door by S1/unk BM 16-18 yrs., thin (502-504”) w/grey scarf over face/black BB cap who implied a gun. S1 fled. Officers found her purse and belongings in alley.

15 Av N & Emerson Av N Thursday 12-17-09 11:24 hrs 09-380612

Officers were working another detail when they observed AP1/Martin, Trayjohn – BM 18 yrs. walking. AP1 was stopped and a loaded .357 Smith & Wesson revolver was recovered from his waistband along w/drugs.

Golden Valley Rd & Newton Av N Thursday 12-17-09 20:50 hrs 09-381108

Officers made a TLE on a car w/rear brake light out. As car pulled over, AP1/Johnson, Vysean – BM 21 yrs. and AP2/Holt, Derek – BM 20 yrs. opened doors/fled. Both apprehended w/AP1 booked HCJ for possession of ESSEX Arms 45 Cal 5” BBL semi-auto pistol without permit.

13XX 16TH Av N Friday 12-18-09 14:00 hrs 09-381746

Officers executed a search warrant and recovered a rifle/SKS CAI 7.62 x 39 semi-auto w/bayonet & sling, rounds and drugs from AP1/Walker, Wm. – BM 31 yrs. and AP2/Patterson, Tina Marie – BF 26 yrs.

29XX Dupont Av N Monday 12-21-09 23:25 hrs 09-384996

AP1/Roberts, Quentin – BM 27 yrs. and AP2/Roberts, Kelando – BM 26 yrs. caught with CENTURY INT. ARMS, Inc. 7.62X39 cal semi-auto pistol , DC Industries, St. Paul and no permit.

This woman is the assistant to a friend of a guy I work with.

He usually drives her to work, but he had an appointment and dropped her off at the bus stop. She saw the perp approaching her and she knew something was up before it happened. Bad, bad scene.

ASSAULTS:

ASLT1

26XX Penn Av N Wednesday 12-23-09 14:20 hrs 09-386472

V1/BM-20 yrs. walked into the gas station just before S1/known BM-27 yrs. /508. Video shows S1 walking into gas station with S2? (not clear) and it appeared that they knew each other. V1 was shot 2 xs/chest area by S1. V1’s girlfriend remained in his car when he went into station and observed suspect running from store looking frightened. There are many witnesses. S1 is the Ex/father of 3 children with W14 who was dating V1’s brother. V1 and his brother had a prior argument with S1 a few days back.

40XX Lyndale Av N Friday 12-25-09 00:18 hrs 09-387488

V1/BM – 35 yrs. was stabbed in rt. side of torso by S1/known BF – 39 yrs. Three females were arguing loudly in the hallway of apartment complex so V1 tried to get them to exit by back steps. When he turned around to go back, S1 stabbed him. License plate no. is #758-CBA for S1’s vehicle.

Broadway Av W & Logan Av N Sunday 12-27-09 15:00 hrs 09-389335

V1/BM – 18 yrs. was standing near intersection when he heard 3 shots from down the block. He was struck in hand but never saw who fired the shots. He doesn’t believe he was the intended target.

10XX Broadway Av W Monday 12-28-09 13:00 hrs 09-389910

V1/BF – 48 yrs. and W1/BF were in line on foot at drive-up/ATM - US Bank when a S1/known BF driver of next car in line felt that they went out of turn. An altercation ensued with S1/driver struck V1 with her car. V1 stated her hip was hurting but would get her own medical help. Bank surveillance showed part of incident/plate number.



ASLT2

Golden Valley Rd & Penn Av N Monday 12-28-09 21:63 hrs 09-390294

Officers dispatched to a SHOOTING where V1/BM – 24 yrs. had been shot to right shoulder as well as a bullet hitting/bouncing off his right thigh (Hsp. – NLT) and V2/BM – 26 yrs. was shot in right buttocks (minor). The victims and another were walking to a store when an argument broke out between them and a group of 6 men. S1 in the group shot at the three from approx. 50 ft. distance/5 shots. They couldn’t provide descriptions and the initial call stated it was believed to be a drive-by. They would not give a vehicle description either. Later V1 said the three were not going to the store but to meet up with some women.

29XX Russell Av N Thursday 12-24-09 19:00 hrs 09-387502

V1/BF – 12 yrs. was allowed to visit a friend (BF 13 yrs.) at this location; but, S1/known BM – 18 yrs. kissed her leaving a hickey mark and fondled her. V1 called PG saying it was an emergency. S1 fled on foot.

5XX Logan Av n Friday 12-25-09 00:15 hrs 09-387703

V1/BF – 14 yrs. stated the plan was for S1/known BM (ex-boyfriend of OT1) – 26 yrs. to pick her up and take her to a friend’s house; but, instead he took her to an apartment where he used to live. They watched TV for a couple of hours/sex .

24 Av N & 4 St N Tuesday 12-22-09 20:00 hrs 09-385820

V1/BF-35 yrs. was robbed of her purse containing $700 and DL by S1/unk BM 20-25 yrs. (507”) medium build/dk skin/violent with a black & silver semi auto-handgun wearing all dark clothes/ski face mask. V1 and friend were approached after getting out of vehicle when S1 asked if they wanted “weed.” They said, “No” and went up an outside stairway when approached again. V1’s purse had $500 in an envelope and $200 in a pocket of purse. S1 GOA.

26 Av N & Aldrich Av N Friday 12-25-09 02:00 hrs 09-387603

V1/WF – 33 yrs. stated she left her brother’s house pretty drunk/lost track of whereabouts when she was approached by S1/unk BM 20-30 yrs. (602-604”) med. build/dk skin wearing a yellow bandana under black hat and coat/2rings and white gold necklace, S2/unk BM 20-30 yrs. (502-508”) heavy build/dk skin/black long wavy hair/3 gold teeth, and S3/unk BF 20-30 yrs. (502-506”) heavy/dk skin and long black hair. S1 came from behind and held knife to V1’s neck demanding her wh/gold necklace/cutting deeply on rt. side while S2 grabbed her hand demanding her rings. S2 cut V1’s wrist deeply. Suspects fled on foot. V1 was able to get in her car and drive to Hsp.

39XX Bryant Av N Sunday 12-27-09 14:05 hrs. 09-389157

V1/BF – 43 yrs. and 5 witnesses (relatives who came to her rescue) were shot at (no injuries) by S1/unk BM 18-22 yrs. (508”) medium build/light skin and S2/unk BM 18-22 yrs. (510-511”) heavy build/dark skin both carrying black automatics. V1 had parked on the wrong side of the street when S1 & S2 approached her telling the same. She said she knew that and that’s when they jumped out of van demanding her purse w/12 credit cards, checkbook, $600 cash and DL/SS Card. They then fled on foot after their vehicle was stuck in snow. Vehicle was a rental w/rental agreement inside along w/spent casing (9mm DCC and a live one), cell phone, a knit cap and a set of house keys.

16XX Washburn Av N Sunday 12-27-09 15:39 hrs 09-389196

V1/BM – 28 yrs. claims he was assaulted by his wife S1/BF – 24 yrs. and her brother S2/BM – 22 yrs. who ripped a necklace (value/$375) off V1’s neck stealing it and a 2 ct. diamond earring ($500). The suspects later went back into the house and left with V1 and S1’s children ages 5 and 2. Suspects were GOA when Officer arrived. Medical was not required.

Dowling Av N & Fremont Av N Monday 12-28-09 18:31 hrs 09-390171

V1/BM – 17 yrs. was robbed at bus stop by S1/unk BM 18-19 yrs. (505-506”) slight build/thin beard with a silver automatic. S1 came up to V1 asking for weed who refused. S1 racked a round into gun chamber telling V1 to “Give me everything.” S1 stole $57 in cash. V1 was dropped at Mom’s by squad.

16XX Emerson Av N Saturday 12-26-09 22:50 hrs 09-388677

Officers dispatched to a suspicious person call and recovered a gun from another backyard. They arrested AP1/BM – 17 yrs. and AP2/BM Thornton, Stephen – 22 yrs. Recovered was a S&W .38 cal, 5-shot revolver 3” BBL, Mass., USA.

21 Av N & Fremont Av N Monday 12-28-09 00:01 hrs 09-389548

AP1/BM Harper, Edlee – 24 yrs., and AP2/BF Hill, Tiffany – 23 yrs. caught w/9mm HI POINT semi-auto pistol w/3.5” BBL. AP1 wrestled with Officers until they got him on the ground so they could pull him off of one Officer.
