Officer-Involved Shooting In Stillwater
STILLWATER, Minn. (WCCO) ―

Three people have been shot in Stillwater Friday evening, according to police.

Officers were called to Victoria Villa Apartments at about 4:30 p.m. The building is on Greeley Street South, near Lily Lake and not far from Lakeview Hospital.

Shannon Schmidt, who lives in the apartment building, told WCCO-TV she believes a man shot his wife and daughter before being shot by police.

"Just a 'doom, doom, doom!' Just like someone was pounding on a wall, or make a big thump, it was just big thumps," recalled Schmidt.

Officers said two females are in critical condition. The man's condition hasn't been released, but they said Friday afternoon that no one had died in the shooting.

Holy crap, that's what was going on last night! Sirens, cop cars, fire trucks, all of the above were blazing by my place for almost half an hour it seemed.

My Mother actually knew this guy. She works for Hospice and he had recently got on it because he was dying of Cancer. I believe she also said he was a Vietnam Vet. Sad situation all around, that's for sure.
