You'd turn them inside out with that.

It would be fun to watch. :ugeek:

I would be using .223 If only we knew where to get some 62gr extreme shock rounds for .223 :hmm:

There you go-------------------------------------------------------------------thinking again. Small game is nice to have for fox. Just saw my first grey fox for the year.

Not a big deal....

It's likely if you use either, the damage won't be too great...

I wouldn't use a ballisti-tip....But I would use a 165gr SPBT deer round.

Residents and nonresidents are not required to have a license to hunt unprotected species including coyote. Nonresidents do not need a furbearer hunting license in addition to their small game license to hunt fox.

Fox and Coyote Night Hunting
A person hunting for coyote or fox from Jan. 1 to March 15 may
use an artificial handheld light under the following conditions:
• While on foot and not within a public right of way
• Using a shotgun
• Using a calling device
• Not within 200 feet of vehicle

-Snow camo.......check

-Cold weather clothing.....check

-Reasonably accurate rifle.......check

-Any freaking clue about killing coyotes......DOH!!!!

I have gone out a few time at the request of a farmer by my cabin to shoot a few that were in a known location/den. That didn't involve calling or anything, just sneaking into a shooting position and freezing my ass off while being cold for a while. If I can survive biking from Minnetonka to Minneapolis tomorrow, I can survive lying still waiting for a few coyotes to show up.

I just switched jobs at the hospital and am working every third weekend now. If it falls on my weekend off, I would be interested if invited.

FWIW, a sheet and a sewing machine is all you need for a cover-up.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

Invited??? we don't have a time or coordinates yet. I did not say I was putting this together--I'm just looking for ideas. If this was at my 20, I'd have sent you a PM or an E-mail. You must be gettin' old. :D

At this rate, we're going to end up at the range dressed like snow goons, shooting at paper coyote targets.

So? At least we'll be outside and shooting.

If anyone knows some good coyote hunting areas, let me know. There just might be some homebrew in it for you......
