Streicher's out of the Glock business...?

Dang, I still haven't gone to that place yet. Do they carry used police trade-ins? I know that my workplace sells its old armory stuff to Streichers for dirt cheap. Mostly it's crusty, abused 870 express 12 gauges and the like, but they did get rid of some Beretta 92s. Years ago, a former warden made off with a bunch of old S&W police model .38 revolvers... I believe he's still employed with the state in a higher-up position.

Of course, when it came time to sell the old Thompsons bought back in the 20's, they went on private auction for huge $$$.

Ahhh...... No big deal, even if it's true. If they lose the Glock dealership all they have to do is pick up a Tupperware dealership with their new design "Tactical Doughnut Carrier", and they will pretty much double their market share.

As far as GSSF goes if Streicher's is no longer an approved LE dealer we'll get to order them and have them sent to an FFL of our choice.

I got a copy of their latest catalog last week and it had a ton of glocks in it. And honestly why would they shoot themselves in the foot seeing as they tend to cater to a lot of departments. I am going to send them an email and see, as i find it very hard to believe seeing as they have such a huge market cornered.

Huh. I wonder what price they have. I can get the LE price on a Glock due to my job, so most trade-ins really aren't that great of a deal at all. The guy I used for my FFL has some 2nd Gen 22s, although at $425 a piece I'd rather just get a new one. A lot of the trade-ins seem to have a ton of holster wear, understandably so.

Last batch I saw were $350 each. And yeah, they were extremely beat up in appearance.

Just a reminder guys that if you are going to be ordering Glocks via the internet--be very careful! Top Glock and all its incarnations (it goes by about 100 different business names) has been stealing credit card info for a long time. You can read about it here viewtopic.php?f=52&t=4316&p=45574&hilit=top+glock#p45574 and you will also find a link to the Glock forum thread there (which I notice has recently been updated--they are still at it, apparently) and to the high road forum. They have stolen alot of info from alot of people over alot of years.

I ordered my LE G17 through KOSCIELSKI'S and was very happy with the service. I'd recommend them.

Yeah, if people would just shut up about this place and their great deals and fantastic customer service, we could beat them into charging less for their product by choking off their business for our own selfish gain. After all, why should they be allowed to prosper in the market? That seems reasonable.
