Have you tried going into the AT&T store and griping a bit, offer up that Boost offers unlimited everything for $50 with no contract and you're thinking about changing. I'm sure you'll get a nice upgrade... for free.

Doing it over again, I'd either get a "jail broke" iPhone and run it on T-Mobile, or I'd look at getting a CDMA smart phone like the Droid, blackberry or Palm and getting on Sprint's unlimited everything or Boost's unlimited everything plans. AT&T is expensive and they've got more customers than their network can support. Ask anyone on here who talks to me on a regular basis, constantly dropped calls and slow data. ATT sucks the big one. They didn't expand their network before taking on the iPhone and the 33% increase in customers they recieved because of it.

MNGlocker, In the next month or two HTC is going to be putting out a phone for Sprint that is basically a Nexus One but with the HTC Sense UI. This is the phone I'm waiting for to upgrade to.

You can go buy an AT&T per paid from wal mart for about twenty bucks .... They are phones with minimal options but it will get you by fine until your upgrade.
