Hi Everyone -

So I will admit, I have been curious about what goes on here for quite a while. So when I heard about the powder room I thought I would finally check it out (after a gentle nudge AKA a tremendous shove from Eric [EJSG19]). So here I am. Thought I would say hi. Any suggestions on things to read first?

I would suggest you start with the rules, announcements and any stickies by area. The reference section has some good info as well.

Other than that, if you have an interest in any specific subject try the search function or just ask.

Things to read first:

- The art of the Rifle by Col Jeff Cooper . He is pretty much the ultimate gun guru so don't say anything bad about him or you will be violated.
- Any threads about Glock vs 1911 or 9mm vs 45ACP. We've covered this extensively and there is some good stuff that has never been covered anywhere else on these particular topics
- If you want to be bored out of your skull, use the search function to look up 'Dickel bourbon'
- An excellent thread, if I may say so myself, is the one "I want a levergun in ________' Your future husband outlined plans for your entire houshold budget for the coming years in that one
- If you want to look at dead critters, check out the hunting section. Lord knows that EJSG19 is not bringing them home
- Seismic Sam is the reloading authority. If you screw up, he will call you an @#$%$#@ and have a graph ready that will quantify exactly how big of an @#$%$#@ you are measured in mOhm.
- 'Off topic politics' should be renamed 'Preaching to the choir'
- Monschman (or 'Tyrone o'Leary' as I like to refer to him) is very good for some nifty ebonics.
- Stradawhovious wakes up every morning with a new crazy idea and manages to pull it off most of the time. He could fix our health care system with a machete, the right size routerbit and some kydex.
- Look up member Digital K for a good laugh. He tried to get somebody to sell him a gun without PTP and it backfired on him a bit
