I've got a G23, 22 and 17 you're welcome to come out and try at Delano Sportmens' Club if you'd like. The only think I ask is that you feed them what you shoot. 8-)

Very generous. I would like to extend the same offer at the Burnsville range. I may have 26, 19rtf2, 17rtf2, 34, 23, 32, 21sf, and 37.
At least that's what I had prior to an unfortunate ice fishing accident.
'

Wow guys!!!! THANKS!!! I'll let you know if i can take ya up on the offer. I'd need to find a sitter as my wife works weekends.

Seems you're planing to do this already, but if you buy a pistol, make sure it's of good quality, that way, if it doesn't work for you, you can still sell it for close to what you paid for it.

I've never been one to really buy cheap. I get hassled for it all the time by my friends. Yeah i know there are more expensive guns but from what i have been told and read Glock is a good place to start and worth the money.

The gun show at the fairgrounds starts at 8am Sat. & 9am Sunday.
I'll have a G23 as well as M&P 40 full size & compacts if you want to see how they feel.
And if you haven't already looked at them, come take a peek at the Springfield XD's.

I think i know where i will be Saturday!!!! Is there a Website detail up coming Gun Shows? As far as the Springfield's....I'm not a big fan of the palm safety heard some not so good things about them. I do like the look just not that safety option.

Well i have to give a big THANKS to MrVvrroomm. Very informative and very nice. Had a great time putting a 100 rounds through the Glock 23 of his. Along with some of his reloads for his Glock 19 (9mm) & Glock 37 (.45 G.A.P.). Got some good shooting tips which just in the 100 rounds made a hell of a Accuracy difference.

I do have to say a Glock 23 .40 is definitely what it will be. Not to say that there won't e future purchases of others cause the list has grown already. :D :D :D :D

Glock 23 .40
Ruger Mark II or III
Glock 19 9mm

Great to meet you today! Just to be clear, the reversible safety on the new Gen 4's is a nice feature for lefties like you. The Gen 4's are only available in 22 & 17. The 23 & 19 should show up some time in June. Don't be afraid of the GAP, perhaps as a 2nd pistol.

Anyway, got them all cleaned up. I'll be able to sleep tonight.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I think can manage the 23 the way it is. Being setup for a righty that is. Gen 4 is leverage to buy another gun.

I think you should check them again i think you missed a spot on one. :P

I recommend to folks that if they're thinking about a "Glock type of gun" to also look at the M & P and XD equivilant (and shoot them if you get a chance). If you do decide on a Glock, first I'd join GSSF then wait for a Gen 4 in the one you want. I'm hearing that shooting a Gen 4 with the new dual recoil spring is really nice. On the .40 vs 9MM remember that the .40 ammo is double the cost of the 9MM.

The thought crossed my mind but i can operate the gen 3 just fine and don;t really want to wait until June either. I haven't seen the S&W and i can't say i dislike the XD i just won't use one for a carry piece because of the palm safety. Just my personal preference.

Craappppp......

Where will ya be?

....I don't want to know. :lalala:

Yes I do. :surrender:

Tim, a show is a damn good place to be able to handle every gun under the sun. Any reputable carry gun will be there, and you can handle pretty much all of them without waiting a guy at a store counter. Lots of great people to talk to, as well. :)

Don,
He and I met a BPR this afternoon. I had a 23, 19, 37 and a Steyr M40-A1. He liked the 23. I explained the difference in the price of ammo. I prefer 9mm myself and I reload. Just a preference.

If you can't wait for GSSF membership, etc., I continue to believe that Thunderjohn has the most competitive prices on new glocks. Jerry up near Alexandria also posts great prices from time to time. If Cabelas has its $100 off sale for purchases of items over $500 with use of their credit card, that can be a good deal too. Will be hit or miss to find a glock at the price you want to pay at the gun show today. Reputable dealers sometimes put them at that $499 price (or so), but too many sellers list them at $569, etc. Whatever you decide to do, try not to buy a used glock from the gun show guy that also sells the carry badges.

One more thing, I got an email this morning from CDNN that they have glock factory mags on sale this weekend for $19.99. $5.99 shipping for entire orders.

Have a couple of guns you're trying to sell do you?

Nope, I did have one low-quality firearm, but I managed to sell that locally after trying for a while. Just letting him learn from my mistakes.
