I'm 33yrs. My wife of 8yrs and I have 5 kids total. Like most of you, I have been hunting and shooting for most of my life. My dad started me on his Colt Python! Which he still has! My carry gun is my Springfield Light Weight Champion Operator! Yes, it is the coolest 1911 that I could afford! After all, I'm just a Plumber.
I'm looking for buy my first revolver, it will be for daily carry. The Operator gets heavy after a few hours, so I'm looking for something lighter in weight. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Nothing wrong with that for a 1911...it's a great gun, and was one of the guns that led to my 1911 addiction. VERY comfortable to shoot.

So many good ones to pick from these days... I'm partial to the Walther PPS right now... If you're into the autos.
Try out some different guns and see what grabs you... There's a saying that escapes me at the moment, but it goes something like, you never really own them, they're just on loan until the next one...

I have a S&W 642 that I'm partial to....... Very light, very concealable, and unlike the LCR, its not made of plastic.

Yes welcome to the forum... Don't worry about diskdoctr, he usually is only here when he gets a weekend passes from the 'house'.
But 5 kids? That's crazy.... Must keep you busy.
As far as revolvers are concerned, I would lean towards the S&W line. I think they are a bit better quality than some of the others.
ThunderJohn on the board here is a local dealer. He is great to deal with, and has some of the best prices around. I would highly recommend checking with him when you are ready to buy something.

What are you after most when you want a revolver to carry daily? Small and light? Or just "lighter" than your operator?
S&W 642 doesn't need an introduction. Its a pain to shoot much, literally, but it would feel like a feather comparatively if that is what you're after. Airweight's are aluminum.
Myself, I have the natural blessing of size, so I can conceal bigger guns just as easy. I'd like something for the pocket someday, but a fullsize/compact/subcompact polymer gun is awful light too. Then again, personally I hate having too many things in my pockets. Also, being a plumber you might be against that hippy plastic stuff...
