I guess either the guy at work is helpful or just don't like me, either way I'm here now and I hope to make some new friends and shootin' buddies. My love of guns, ammo, hunting and the outdoors goes way back to my sixth or seventh Christmas when my parents tucked a Daisy under the tree. My earliest memories of that gun are me shooting at corn cobs as my Dad was trying to teach his first born firearm safety and outdoors responsibility. Yes, I got severely scolded for pasting someone's corn with a steel BB and learned quickly that even my beloved Daisy just wasn't a toy. A few years later I was given his 20 gauge Wingmaster when he was given a 12 gauge Remington as a prize from where he worked. Can you believe that as a 15 year old in southeastern Wisconsin I could go to the village hardware store and buy 32acp ammo? My father had an old Czech semiauto pistol I'd shoot at rats with in the barn. Hmmm, I can't remember any school shootings or mall shootings back then; maybe because most Americans had learned self respect and discipline and even though I got picked on a LOT at school, the thought of taking that pistol and doing someone harm just never crossed my mind. Oh but now we have so many worthless laws restricting our beloved inantimate objects and, of course, took away the daily chore of schoolkids reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and taken God and morality out of our system.
Ah, sorry folks, I just want to say "Hi" and get navigating this great new (to me) website.
Hope we can meet and share all sorts of stories and great receipes!
Jim
