Last year they drew tickets out of a big hopper. If nobody spoke up when a number was called, it was on to the next ticket.

But the fun part was when they realized that even that method was going to run way too long, so they just started flinging prizes into the crowd. I too was surprised there were no bacon injuries.

is it only rifle?

Maybe everybody that's going wants a little practice?

I'm not going but Randy Luth says that there will be extra safety protocols at this years event.

Sorta,

Can you just do the pistol stages? can you do them more than one time with your 6 stage tickets?

Is it conceivable to just drive up for the shoot and come back?

If its anything like last year, you pick and choose whichever stage you want, and shoot them as many times as you want you are not required to shoot all of them. Just wait in line for an hour and a half and fork over five hard earned dollars...... then shoot a hastily thrown together, unscored, unceremonious stage where you are not allowed to check your targets or retreive your brass. After that, you get herded away like cattle through a gauntlet of tactical joes muzzling you at every turn.

It's a hoot.

The shotgun stages were a little better, though. Did you do those last year Strad? At least the targets were reactive, so you could easily see what you were hitting, and the lines weren't very long. The pistol and rifle stages were ridiculous.

The shotgun stages were, indeed, enjoyable and pretty well-run.

I'm planning on going Sunday to try this out. The shot gun stages look to be the most fun so will mostly do shotgun and 1-2 pistol stages, no rifle. I'll be the guy with the MP5 clone on the pistol stages (a GSG-5P ... paper zombies don't rate higher than a .22LR in my book!).

Just got back; I'll work on an AAR tomorrow. Right now, I need to put a coat of oil on my rain-soaked guns, clean up and spend some time with my wife.

I didn't take the time to shoot any of the stages except my son Mike and I shot the contest stage for a DPMS lower with Zombie killer or something stenciled on the lower. This was put on by the Zombie targets and ammo folks. The course of fire was at 10yds six rounds. Gun staged on the table, on the whistle pick up gun and shoot six rounds to the head. They have five scoring rings with the center being about 1" dia and worth 5 points. Your time stops after you shoot the six rounds and put the gun back on the table. Time is kept by a stop watch. Points are added up and your time is subtracted for your score. Mike won the lower by a few points.
