We belong to two local clubs down here and shoot religiously. Mom and dad-in-law have a nice rural piece of property, and we constructed our own range there as well. Two of my neighbors are also enthusiasts and frequent the ranges with us.
My dad and nephew shoot competitively out east (where I grew up). My older son may be starting competitive shooting next year (he'd be giving up some high school sports, so he's in his decision-making process).
We're also angling nuts. Although I tend to enjoy the times when the Dear Mrs. doesn't go, being that she out-angles me every time.
My passion for firearms is definitively attributed to my father's and mother's and grandparents' passion for them, our sporting with them when I was a young boy, etc. My wife and I strive to keep these traditions very alive and appreciated by passing the same values and passions onto our kids.
