Good for Mike! Now the real question is, "was the lower decorated to the point of embarrassment, or will it be used as-is?"

On one side of the mag well it is stenciled with Zombie something or other, don't remember what it said now. I'm sure he can remove it if he wants to. The stencil was a little crooked. Still worth it, $5.00 entry and six rounds of 9mm, if anybody has stripped lowers laying around I would offer the same deal.

Nice score! I won a box of ammo and my team won the "Most Prepared Squad" for the second time in a row - again, by a coin toss.

I won a rifle this year. Got bacon, a depth finder, and a knife last year.

Had fun both years. Will have fun next year if they run it again.

It is what you make of it.

Thanks! A bit of delayed gratification though. It was the Bushmaster Predator. The one they didn't actually have on-site. I've already called Bushmaster and an FFL about getting it shipped to somewhere I can pick it up.

No idea what Bushmaster's manufacturing timelines are like these days. It could be a couple weeks, or a few months. I didn't ask. A freebie is a freebie and this is too nice to be a whiner about. 8-)

The M-4 of Doom. Nope. Although I did contribute an extra $10 for a ticket. Not sure what I would have used a 40mm Flare launcher for, but I'm sure I could have found something.

I've never owned a rifle with a two-stage trigger in it so this could be interesting. I have a Southpaw 20" 1:9 bull barrel that I put a JP trigger and hammer in. Breaks at a hair over 4lbs on a pull scale. This one has a 3.5 first and a 1lbs let-off.

Went on Sunday and had a good time. Lots of cars in the lot, but most of the stages I shot had little or no wait. Was fun to put a few mags thru the free ACR's and a bunch of rounds thru the two700's and stainless 1895 .45-70 (the area was empty & the Rem & Marlin reps were obviously bored when I was there so they let me shoot a bunch). Fell in love with that 1895SBL!!

The ACR was a great rifle (should be for $2600 MSRP), but the rep told me it works best with 5.56, wasn't designed to function with commercial .223 and that it may cause operational/reliability issues. That said, they were feeding it UMC stuff at the range and it seemed to work just fine.

I got a Sawfly "military eyewear" kit, so that more than offset my cost for the day.

Great people watching, but in jeans and a non-camo jacket I was definitely out of place with all the tacticool weekend-warriors. Saw some good costumes (hope they were costumes). Should have brought my camera!!

For those there Sunday, did anybody get a pic of the blonde in the tall stiletto boots and "laura croft style" thigh rigs? Yowza!

Worked out perfect for us. Everyone was busy with their jaws on the ground, so we got first in line. (We managed to get our jaw drop fill in before).

My buddy and I.

Erik, got a pic of your team? I'm sure I saw you guys, just can't recall. (We weren't there for the awarding.)

Fixed that for you. There's no such thing as an accidental discharge. :D
