Joe,
How do you know you had a good time, you slept through most of it and we have photographic evidence to proove that!

I no longer care about getting a race rig put together. I just want a chair like Joe's and I'll be happy.

Evidence indicates that I slept through the shooting portion of the competition. ;)

When in my chair I was merely resting my eyes.

The additional clipboards, squad lists and score sheets really made a difference!

I'm seriously contemplating how to tighten things up even more, electronically.

Should've seen my reload in the 4th Man v. Man round, that would've really made you giggle. Oh yeah, Selurcspi posted the raw times, I gotta go look at that...

...oh, not for the Man v. Man. I wish we'd gotten that one on video. Oh, and it turns out my tetanus shot is up to date.

Android App: You get a list of people in the app, then you use the integrated mic as a shot timer and assign the scores to people. I start to learn a programming language every summer and see something shiny about 10% into the tutorial. So I'll say I'm gonna make it, but you know the truth.

ETA: And make it update an online spreadsheet like google docs.

Good about your tetanus status Pat...I wouldn't worry about it too much as I don't think it went very deep. Just keep it as clean as you can.

Yeah, we all tell Pat to keep it clean, but.......... :D

I was thinking... How about a stage which has a point aim target? The last target could be a popper fairly close that has to be shot from hip or make it the first target.

Any comments?

Two problems:

First, 7 Meters is considered the minimum safe distance for shooting steel.
Second, With the range of skills we have participating in these shoots, the risk is too high for (shall we say) a poorly aimed shot.

thinking back to the first shoot this year, I'm pretty sure I must have been doing that at all the targets! :o -- and not very successfully either!

(can't wait to see how bad I suck at the next one...) :D :P

DOH! That explains why I see paper targets up close and steel farther away at the matches. Got it!

In addition to any safety concerns, I would think that the steel shoots are getting popular and populated enough that if things get too involved in the course of fire we might not finish before dark........ :?

If it gets to be too long a day, you could limit Man v Man to say the upper 60% of the field. ( I say that because that is usually where I fall :o )
But that might require someone bring a laptop and total scores as we go!

That would be so cool. When I win the Powerball I will bribe whoever it takes to make this happen. If I have money left over from buying the Minneapolis city government and establishing the Lake Nokomis Gun Store and Range.
