I hunt deer, less successfully than I'd like. I usually hunt out by Granite Falls.

I went hunting (deer in shotgun territory) for the first time last year and didn't see a thing, other than some nice scenery. It was a lot of effort for no payoff. I realize that's part of the game, but it was still pretty disappointing. I may try for pheasant this year and will probably give deer hunting another go sometime, if not this season. I'm interested in small game/varmint hunting I could do with my 10/22, but don't know what opportunities exist for that. Any ideas?

There's also a chance I'm just not cut out for hunting. I'm quickly realizing that an interest in firearms and shooting doesn't necessary equal an interest in hunting, and vice-versa.

Every fall...

Pheasant - Hunting preserves in MN and SD Public and Private land
Grouse - Public land in MN
Deer - mostly on Public land in MN

When invited by a friend... ducks and geese.

Would like to (never have) hunt turkey and coyote in the near future.

Would like to take an Elk trip someday when my son is old enough.

Bear
Grouse
Used to do Deer and Ducks as well but I never really cared for the taste so I stopped. (the only way duck is tolerable IMO is wrapped in bacon, though you could wrap sewer rat in bacon and it'd probably taste just fine).

I stopped hunting for a while as my wife doesn't care for wild game and a whole bear is a little much even for me to eat but this year I'm taking on the challenge!

just to prove what a nice guy I am, I'd help eat a bear if it was berry fed. Garbage bears are not nearly so good I hear ...

I haven't been hunting yet since returning to Minnesota. Im trying to find places to go.

While living out west I did quite a bit.

Pheasant - my favorite but gave it up when my dog died.
Squirrell
Dear
Pig - another favorite. Fun hunting and exellent eating.
Quail

That's a good thing too. It probably takes 12 of them tiny south eastern deer to fill a freezer! :D Up here, 2 or 3 will usually do. 8-)

Hunting is one of the activities that kinda fell by the wayside as I got older. Growing up in SE WI, I hunted justabout everything available in spite of having a Dad who didn't have much time for hunting. As time went on, ..... well you know the story. I got my son involved in hunting upland game. Even though he's grown and on his own, we still get together each year for grouse. Usually go to a place we know up around Hill City. We take a long weekend, camp in the woods(not a campground), do a lot of walking, make a bunch of holes in the trees and get a few grouse.
