Moon clips

I picked up a S&W 325 the other day, and after just one time, I'm kinda disenchanted with loading/unloading my moon clips by hand, and am going to pick up some tools to (hopefully) make life easier.

Any suggestions on what works well? I've seen some universal tools that say they do both, as well as ones that run anywhere from $4-$45 that are single-purpose...guess I could live without a loading tool, but a demooner I think's gonna be a must.

Also--any advice on which moon clips run the best? I figure I'd like at least a dozen, maybe more, just to keep loaded for range sessions.

I made a de-mooner out of a length of copper pipe scrap, it works great. If you want, I can send/post some pics. Also, regarding clips, there is a place in the south east that you can get 100 clips for $30. I will try and find the link.

I just recently got one like this http://www.mooncliptool.com/ and so far for a newby to moonclips it seems to work well for loading - I'm not as impressed with unloading, but it might just be me! I think there are some easier unloaders out there, but this makes loading pretty easy. I'd bet we can see a variety of tools at the steel shoot Saturday...

Some of the kids now a days have to use safety pins.

I think they might have something in the Brownell's catalog.

Here you go.

The pipe ID is just larger than the OD of the brass. Pipe goes around brass, pipe is turned, ledge of pipe catches on clip and pops brass out. The other end of the pipe is capped, and it is long enoung to hold 12 pieces of brass. Makes removing brass much easier.
