LAST CHANCE TACTICAL - SEPTEMBER 19TH

Postby jerry45 on Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:52 am

Well, our LCT last Sunday (August 22nd) was phenomenal. We had close to 30 shooters which far exceeded our goal. Our desired participation is in the 22-25 area, so we may have to have RSVP or pre-pay in the future. We did have to set up a waiting list (which grew to about 6) for this last event. Our desire is to run the class from 10AM - 4:30PM with an hour lunch break. If we can wind up by 4:30, that will give those who are traveling a distance (Mpls, Fargo) time to get home at a reasonable time. If some die hards want to continue plinking after 4:30, we will be able to accomodate that (people were still here until after 6PM last Sunday).

Our next LCT event is scheduled for Sunday, September 19th. Arrive by 9:30 AM to register and attend the MANDATORY safety meeting. All FIVE ranges will again be utilized (Barricade Alley, Beer Pavilion Range (no beer served :-(), Plate Rack range, the Hornet's Nest and Ambush Alley). The new Hornet's Nest is dedicated to the use of 22lr firearms (handgun or rifle). If you do not have a 22, we can rent you one for $3. The "Nest" may be changed in the future dependent on our participants input (right now everyone seems to like it)!

In accepting reservations for the September event, the following schedule will be used as to whom gets priority to attend the event.

1. Those that prepay ($30 each) for the event

2. Those that pre-inform us that they are coming and pay at the door. In order to prevent dissapointment, please call to see if we are still accepting participants before driving out.

3. Those that just show up at the door. Again, please call before driving out

The real success of LCT is that we have just a FANTASTIC group of people. While the event to some is seen as competitive, no one takes their shooting performance so seriously that they don't have a good time. We also have an outstanding group of volunteers who help set up and clean up after the event!

Thanks

Just a reminder that we are only 10 days away from our next LCT event! Hope some of you Metro people can carpool and get up here. We are just off I-94 so it is an easy drive (I did not say short!).

Now that hunting season is not far away, it is not to early (or late) to still get a great deal on a rifle, shotgun or muzzloader. Obviously we have a large selection of handguns also.
