Newb from Apple Valley

Postby mgrosz on Mon Sep 20, 2010 12:48 pm

Hi all,

I found my way here via the Carry Forums. I was at the September Steel Shoot. It was my first time seeing that type of sport. I was the quiet guy in the BlackBerry cap that watched for a few hours. After seeing how things run I may give it a go in October. I can do slow.

I consider myself a novice shooter. I'd like to be a better and more active shooter, so competitive shooting at some level seemed appropriate. I've just really started to check out what's available.

Welcome. The steel shoots are a great way to get started. Safe and you will quickly learn where you need to improve.

Welcome from Rosemount!

I have never gone to a steel shoot (besides the zombie shoot  ) either. Give a heads up when you go some time, I wouldn't mind going with fellow newbs.

Welcome! There are tons of shooting sports around. Just ask away and the people here will tell you all about the matches that happen almost every weekend somewhere close, if not in, the Metro.
