I was emailing with a friend of mine in Massachusetts yesterday. He was looking to purchase a WWII Remington Rand 1911 from a member of his church. It was a parts matching, nice condition, etc...(I'm no expert).
Anyhow - the hoops he has to jump through in order to buy it are ridiculous, not to mention that even when he DOES buy it (cause he's going to jump through the hoops) - he won't have a place to shoot it because all the ranges in Eastern MA are private clubs with outrageously high joiners fees.
We were talking about my collection vs. his -- he has a .22...I have more than that because MN doesn't put as many restrictions on me.
In short - I love living here for this reason (among others).
