Well as the proud owner of an AR-10 and a Smith 1006, I commend you on both of those choices!! I too would like a 610 to compliment the 1006. 10mm's rule.

I don't make new years resolutions, but:
Thinking about a light bolt action in something 7mm or .30 cal.
My 2 varmint rifles are heavy barreled (not counting the AR), so a sporter weight .223 or .204 is under consideration.
I think everyone should have a .357 mag, and I don't. A J frame with a 4" barrel would be cool, but no one makes one. Probably go with a security 6 or a GP100 if I find the right deal.
I'd pick up a lever rifle in .357 or .44 mag if I came across the right deal just because.
Something that's practical to carry concealed other than my P3at. Probably 9mmish. Maybe a 709 slim. Don't know what I was thinking picking up a Glock 17 as a carry piece.

Well I finally picked up a Garand, I guess I need a 1911 to go along with it.
I also want a ruger MK III Hunter and possibly a G26. Last but not least a PTR-91.
I'll be lucky if I get one of those next year.

Thinking on a Raging Judge 6", S&W 625, and a bolt action 308 of some sort.

Of course whatever old gem that shows up may also be a victim!

For me-
Nice O/U for birds and shooting games
Quality glass for the 700P

For Jackson-
Quality 1911 in a 45acp (probably gonna sell the Springer 9mm)

For Sam-
Lefty varmint rig
T/C Encore pistol for deer

No rush on anything. Probably need to sell some extras as I'm supposed to be saving for kids edumacayshuns and new guns are discretionary spending..............

Glass will be next on my list.

After that maybe add a 3" 1911 to the carry options, a Mini-14 in 6.8, or a slide action .357 just because...

I will likely only be adding one new child to the family this next year.

I would like to build my first rifle this year, and when I say build I don't just mean pick out the combo of parts and assemble. I want to engineer and fabricate a state of the art long range competition rifle with some never before seen features (for its class) in hopes of it being successful in 1000 yard F-Class. The overall idea is the bring as much IBS heavy gun ideas (200lb rifles) into the F-class arena (22lb rifle). Wherever possible components will have to be carbon fiber and any aluminum components will have to be put on a harsh diet, this means removing ever last spec of material that I can without compromising the structural integrity of the assembly. It's a good thing I got some awesome software at my disposal, Solidworks, ProE and a full FEA package. So far it’s looking like it will be a 284 WIN wildcat, probably a 284 Shehane, likely a 32” 1.45” diameter Brux barrel screwed into an octagonal BAT 3 lug action, Kelblys BR trigger group and my current 12-42 Nightforce NXS.

VERY early look at the project, it could completely change before I get ready to start building it, and clearly this is in an 75% done state. I don't have a trigger group or action in hand so I put place holders in there for now, as far as the CAD gos the assigned weights of the components are correct so I can still predict the final weight accurately but the actual dimensions will change once I get components in hand.

I'm resolving to finally get some kind of full-auto C&R gun. A Carl Gustav "Swedish K" is at the top of my list, although I'll settle for something similar if it's easier to find.

I'm resolving to buy more after my recent acquisitions have been paid off. So it looks like January is when the next addition should come along.
