Where go purchase a revolver

Postby msnden on Thu Nov 04, 2010 2:04 pm

In your opinion, where is the best place to purchase a revolver in Mn. (Twin Cities area) I have been to Cabalas and Gander, both do not seem to vary from the msrp, and the knowledge of the salespeople is surprisingly LOW, Thanks msn

IMHO, Frontiersman in St Louis Park is a likely choice. Just don't be intimidated when you walk in the front door! :)

Ask for MArv, He's always been good to people I know and is great to talk to. IIRC he doesn't generally work on Thursdays.

I bought my Ruger SP101 at Frontiersman and have no complaint. I also bought my cheap Filipino 1911 clone there and have no complaint...considering.

Morbius, would you care to share the cost they had on the 686? (new/used)? thanks, it is a bit of a ride for me but if prices are good (I have a lot of free time) I wouldn't mind, I am looking at at a GP100 & S&W 617 and the prices I have encountered locally are a little outrageous, Thanks msn,

Remember, on used guns usually there is quite a bit of "haggle room" built into the sticker price. For the lowest new prices talk to Thunderjohn, or look at http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php
