Rosenberg was being held in jail Wednesday night in lieu of $100,000 bail.

I'm not too up on the average amount of bail set but does $100,000 bail seem excessive? Just curious.

It does, but given the history here, it's probably personal. Asserting your rights is one thing thumbing your nose at law enforcement and antagonizing them is another.. . I'm not clear on the details here, but if it was a city hall they aren't supposed to be able to ban... of course what's legal for you to do and what's smart for you to do are not always the same.

A note here with regards to carry in city hall. Here in Rochester they have declared the entire government center, INCLUDING the parking lot part of the "courthouse". Which tends to make things a little more complicated, and probably technically not legal.. but I wouldn't want to be the test-case. Especially since the judges were the ones who extended the courthouse definition to the parking-lot.

Their signs are also very confusing and non-compliant....

There have been murder suspects not given as high a bail. So, yeah, regardless of your opinion of Joel, bail seems quite high for the charges.
