Do you need an SBR stamp?

No, the stock is fixed in the forward position. The PPS-43 is sold as a pistol. An SBR stamp would allow you to make the stock functional.

So the folding stock is 'fixed' closed? Thanks, Joe.

Anyone legally alter the stock of the PPs43 to be functional? If so, any tips for the execution?

Just got one, and might have to cough up the $200 to BATFE to make the conversion.

$308.00 plus shipping here...

Might be a typo, but if anyone can get them at that price I would jump on it

Nope, I called to make sure and then ordered it a few minutes ago. $325.67 including shipping!

20 left in stock at the moment.

So I ordered some back in December and they never arrived. They don't return my phone calls either :(

Goes to show, especially on the internet, that anyone can post a low price. Doesn't mean you'll ever see it.

I must have lucked out because mine showed up just fine shortly after the original discussion but since my MN FFL lives up north I didn't get to pick it up until a couple of days ago.

They honored the price, which must have been a typo, and the fit and finish on the gun is pretty nice for a stamped com-block weapon. I haven't been to the range with it yet but I do have a couple of cans of the Polish ammo.

This one appears to be one of the later builds, not the early one which had firing pin troubles. The stock on this one doesn't have the external welds to keep the stock in the folded position; it's pinned closed and looks like it'd be real easy to reactivate if you wanted to spend the $200 to go the SBR route.

It came with a combo tool, 4 mags (one of which is labeled "test fired", a sling and oil bottle. Mine was missing to manual but it's available from the importer as a PDF.

So far I'm real happy with it.

The were two of them available at the last MWC gunshow. One guy had one for $425 with all the same stuff and the guy across the isle had the same one by I.O. on his table for something like $849. I asked him if the thing was SBR and he said no. I asked him why his was so high when everybody else sold them for $425 and he went into a spiel about how his was US built and the Polish ones were crap. I didn't bother to ague with him since it was clearly stamped I.O.. Just looking for a sucker I guess!
