This thread makes me hungry for Taco Bell. I love the Bell (and Fogo too). Although the dinning experience is a little different.

I would be looking for accomplices and getting myself into the best position I could to defend myself and/or retreat. After that who knows...

It seems that I should instigate a drift and talk about fast food and what are the establishments of choice. I suspect that few of those who frequent this site choose a fast food location based upon their selection of salad combinations. It appears the OCB is a favorite (e.g. 2nd Saturday Breakfast.) [/enable drift]

Good Topic!

I haven't been to an OCB in 10 years, but I plan on it tomorrow, like the best meals, it's the company, more than the food.
That said, they might have a great salad bar, and lots of nutritious stuff. For me- all you can eat can be an irresistible temptation- like having chocolate-peanut butter ice cream in the house: it's there once every few years, and lasts only hours.

I truly cannot recall my last meal at any fast food place; I'll stop for coffee or malts sometimes...
As I work out of a van, doing HVAC stuff, mostly S suburbs, I usually hit the salad bar/ deli at a Lund's-Byerly's. If I want something (for me) esoteric, and I'm nearby- I'll try Whole Foods, or sometimes a wrap from The Wedge. Some of Chipotle's stuff looks OK, but anything I've bought there is more than I care to eat while I'm working.

Are you trying to drift this thread from places to eat?

The first few items on Fogo's "Salad" bar are meat related and meat items are interspersed throughout the selection :-)

Hey, that's my Taco Bell! I never go inside, though. I drove through just the other night; had the Beefy Crunch Burrito for a buck, and it was awesome.

People who go out of their way to tell you they're above eating somewhere or that "it's nasty" in the absence of legitimate health issues are real douchers. Sorry guys, it's true.

As you qualified your remark with: "...in the absence of legitimate health issues..." I find no reason to take offense.

But as long as you're in the neighborhood, Just drive a couple more blocks and some real fast food:

Fortunately, one can point to legitimate health issues related to the food(s) at Taco Bell, so it is moot.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

Taco Bell serves food? When did this happen?

While there are obviously long-term negative health consequences to eating fast food on a regular basis, that's not what we're talking about. Eat here, get E. coli or salmonella...those are legitimate health issues.
