The 9 versus 40 or 45

I like the 40 and 9mm with better control for multiple shots.

9MM in a 24c? What barrel mfg do you run? Have you changed the ejector out?

And stop rate? Where do you get this crap? Get a rifle or a shotgun loaded with 00/000 buckshot if you want stop rate.

First, thanks for correcting my misinformation on the 38, I was told that by a good friend that started me in the shooting sport (lesson learned again, never trust the "expert opinion" of self proclaimed experts".

this caliber debate thread has proven 100% as useful as every caliber debate thread before it.

I really need to search better before starting debate threads......so I apologize to the community about revisiting a old, very much so needs to be dead debate. I say heck with it, let's all buy .44magnums, as that's the one "that will blow your head clean off", or so I heard somewhere!

Absolutely. It seems when I'm new to something I concentrate on the "gear" apects. What model, specs ect.. After getting past the beginner phase, tactics and practice start to become the focus.

I think if you are used to a 3'' group with whatever you shoot, you might be lucky if you can count on a 40'' group when it really counts and your body barely responds to your directions.

But they're soooooooooo expensive! I want one anyway. I have back issues and it's the only .357 mag I can shoot without much pain. I shot one at Bullseye in North Branch that one of the regulars made me and my wife try.
