With the remaining $380 you can go buy a nice used EAA witness in a real caliber. :?

Boy, the permit badge guy saw you coming. :P

Well yeah! He said it [Hi Point] was just as good as a Glock, and would be a great heirloom piece for the kids!

:rotf:

What a **** piece of work.

Interesting, but a quick search of sites like GunsAmerica list this pistol selling at a minimum of $900.00US.

Just curious, but how does that fit with the OP's original subject of "9mm and $500?"

HK Specialist has them for around $500. I just picked one up about a month ago. Grade C on the outside, Grade A on the internals, IMO.

I'm sure that because it's an HK, it's the most fantabulistic, awesomest pistol ever manufactured.

I just thought it was outside the $500 mark you set in your original post.

Plus additional mags for HK's are about a c-note each themselves. I'm joking, of course, but not by that much... :o

(luckily for the Gopher crowd next weekend, I don't have a kilt! and it might clash with the Carbon15 holster - if that's the rig I choose this time around...)

I would say get a Sig SP2022. It is a full sized 9mm that has a stainless slide (nitron coating) and a composite frame.
It has the sweetest out of the box trigger that Sig makes. Accurate as hell and easy to maintain.
15 rounds in a mag and you are ready to go.
this dealer is excellent:
