I"m padi certified. The way to do it is just own a mask, snorkle and fins. Unless you are diving a TON, by going with a good outfit it's easier to just rent the equipment.

Golf is another expensive hobby of mine. Green's fees are a bitch, especially if you are lazy and don't want to walk. Plus then there is the beer and cigars. $5 balls that get lost. etc.
