Where to get finger printed for SBR?

Postby binx159 on Tue Mar 01, 2011 8:20 am

I live in South Minneapolis, work in Richfield. Trying to find a local fingerprinter for SBR ATF print card...

Call your local PD. They will often do it for free. That being said. Local often does a lousy job. County will often do a better job but they will probably charge you. Anyways if you are doing an SBR you will need to talk to the local Chief and get your form signed. Unless you go the trust/Incorporated route. But if you do that you wouldn't need the signature or the finger prints.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Local cops will do it for a small fee if they are not busy. It's a good idea to call ahead and check.

We're up to $25 for a set of two in my neck of the woods... Most counties have gone to livescan of some sort or another.

They're scanned electronically and are pretty much guaranteed to be classifiable. The computer won't accept them if they're not.

Our county uses the high tech scanner mc doodle as well (technical term). I always make eyes at the female deputy in charge, so I wonder if they are giving me a discount to get me the hell out of there. You know the old ttousi discount.

SBR=Short Barrel Rifle. The most common method for getting said rifle requires you to submit finger prints.

I received a fingerprint card in my packet from Florida to apply for their permit. I'm in Dakota County and assume that when I go to drop off my renewal MN Carry application that I can get the finger printing done at the same time? Sound like a good idea to call ahead to make sure, anyone have any experience with Dakota County/

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread - kind of the same topic......................
