Hello

Hi, I'm from Minneapolis, been lurking for a few weeks and figured I'd post an intro.

Been shooting a little my whole life but I've been an owner for only about 2. Got addicted to shooting in the NG and it's slowly becoming more and more of a hobby. For some reason I'm fond of the cheaper military style weapons that may not be the best but they certainly go bang each time the trigger is pulled.

Currently own a HiPoint 995 (thinking about selling it), Mosin Nagant 91/30 and just recently picked up a WASR10 AK (had to look at about 20 of them before I found one that wasn't total junk).

I've got an eye open for a decently priced saiga12, but probably won't actually purchase one for another year (same for a nice pistol).

I'd like to find a place that offers some tactical style shooting events with something other than paper targets. Once you hit a mil range and have targets pop up and fall down it's hard to shoot paper =)

Maybe I could ask a question here...Does Bills north range allow (or look the other way) on steel core rounds? I've shot my mosin there 2x and not had them magnet my ammo (russian surplus copper jacketed steel) either time. While looking for some more I found a thread that said that most of the non-steel rounds were all gone....Stuck a magnet to mine and sure enough it turned out to be steel core.

You, sir, have guts. Public admission of owning a HiPoint takes zeal. Your ardor and fervency are welcome here. Enjoy the forum!

Hah I know it's an ugly, cheapass gun built of plastic and some sort of cheapass metals.

The thing is that it works every time and is still very accurate even at 50 yards (have only shot it at Bills). As far as I'm concerned a good weapon should be affordable, shoot when I want it to and durable. So far it has fit every one of those bills. It may not be pretty, but I didn't get it to pick up other dudes at the range ;)
