Private firearm sales at gun shows

I was wondering about the private buying/selling/trading of firearms at a gun show. I've been researching but couldnt find anything specific for minnesota. Is it legal? How is it done? Do the ffl dealers look down on it? If I was to sell mines do I walk around with a sign or something? I traded with some people on the forum, is it done the same way but at the gun show? I've experience trying to do trades at a store but they always offer you a low price for your trade ins. I just think that you have more room to negotiate prices if your doing a private sale. Any help would be appreciated.

yep just another FTF sale, just make sure to ask and see their PTP or PTC + a valid state id. also if you want you could fill out a bill of sale.

Not anytime soon but I was just wondering. It's just good to know if I ever wanted to sell in the future. But how do you let people know that you're selling something?

if the sale is let's say $500 you need to collect about $35 in sales tax and send it in. To be perfectly legal.

I have my kid carry the gun around with a sign on it. For rifles, usually a note card stapled to a straw stock in the bore. For pistols a sign taped to side of a hard case.

I guess i've been perfectly illegal in many years and several states worth of never collecting a tax on private sales 8-)

I would think it is perfectly illegal to collect sales tax without a tax ID number, but I've been wrong before...

If you don't pay Sales Tax, it's likely you would have to pay Use Tax....

Our " great Mother" sent her minion out to audit my Company... we are not selling anything.... 3 days of auditing and they dinged me for $2700.00 for computer software purchased from Washington state because no one locally sells same or similar..... oh yeah ... I dont own the software... the WA company extorts a monthly services fee ... so this is more like a lease right.......
I argued but in the end I just took my shirt off and get to her. Oh this was Pre- Dayton..... next time they will want my wofe's shirt!!
