Seeking Advice

Postby mgrosz on Sun Mar 20, 2011 3:51 pm

I'm looking for a reliable gunsmith in the twin cities area to install a fiber front sight and an extended safety on my 1911. Any suggestions?

if bills rub you the wrong way (it happens, the world is strange...), go to striechers on hwy 55 and 494. they get my back up vote. i've had work done at both shops, i would not take my hardware anywhere other than these two.

FWIW.

Have had really good luck at Bill's (in Robinsdale) both times I have needed work done, both in price and turn around time.

Palmer at the Gun Stop in St Bonifacius, if you live in the SW Metro. Great work every time.

If you are on the north side, or make it up towards St. Cloud occasionally, http://www.keelersgunsmithing.com in Becker.

Thanks all!

I contacted Bill's this morning and I'm headed up there to drop the Colt off tomorrow.
