I've got a PM9. Now don't let this put you off, but mine is not a example of perfectly reliable.
During break-in and a holster class with DonL, I experienced a bunch of failures to feed. And my mags stopped dropping free. Kahr did a fluff and buff and replaced the mag catch that fixed those issues.
When I got it back, before even using it, the barrel and slide were catching on each other due to some slight peening. Mine wasn't in the early run where this was commonly a problem, but apparently they had some bad batches of barrels on later runs and they said they were going to replace the barrel and slide. After I got it back, it worked, but I discovered that they hadn't done that but rather just did more polishing on the underside of the slide.
So the gun was running well for some 500 more rounds. Yay!
But then I started getting a bunch of fail to fires, but it was all with two bulk boxes of WWB 115gr. Hoping it was bad ammo, I did a thorough cleaning, I picked up a variety of other brands, and returned to the range. Well I managed to get one failure to fire on one of PMC, Remington JHP and some Remington UMC. Everything Federal that I ran through it went boom. So I'm convinced that while I may have some WWB with hard primers, I've still got a gun prone to light strikes.
Kahr support has been tolerable through all this, and I have given it a lot of patience hoping to get a nice carry gun in the end. But I'm throwing in the towel on this one and pursuing a different autoloader for daily carry. I've been carrying my wheel gun a lot. Please don't take this as a dump on the brand. It's just a recounting of the problems I've had with mine, which apparently is one of the lemons.
These issues aside, I really like the little gun. It's so easy to carry. I put an Agrip on mine and that really helped with controllability. The more I shoot it, the better I get with it; it's plenty accurate. And I have no problems putting 250+ rounds through it in a range session without it feeling unpleasant.
