GoDaddy.com CEO Bob Parsons scrambled to explain his motives Friday after a video he put on Twitter of himself killing an elephant in Zimbabwe went viral -- leading to calls for a boycott from animal-rights groups.

I like all the orange hats the villagers are wearing. Next time he needs to bring new t-shirts for everyone.

If you're going to kill a fairly intelligent animal, avoid taking pictures over its corpse with a big smile on your face and having them put on the internets.

What does the animal's intelligence have to do with anything?

Are you suggesting the Elephant knew too much?

As Denis Leary once said...people only want to save the cute animals.

Elephants are pests where this happened. They trample crops and prevent people from eating (no Kowalskis in that village). This shouldn't even be a story.
Back to being just a guy.
No, not that guy. Or that other one either.

Shot an animal!!
Cripes bet the same ones in a tizzy over this would abort a baby without blinking an eye...But shoot an elephant!!
Which will feed most of the villagers for quite some time...

Animal rights...they have a right to be fried, roasted, grilled, etc and ate...

It generates more empathy from certain groups of people. Just have to pay attention to the possible negative consequences to your actions.

There is an overpopulation of elephants in the area. This particular elephant was destroying the local village's crops. The villagers got the meat from the animal. (Meat is normally scarce for the villagers.) The hunter paid a high license fee to hunt the elephant the local government collected. The hunter paid for the safari which brought a lot of money to the area employing the villagers.

Yea, this is really bad.

I have ZERO problem with the hunting of elephants, and in particular this one. Sheesh.

Heard that on the news earlier today. Good job Mr. Young! :bravo:
