Pete I have a 700 watt inverter you just clamp to your car battery, it will run an angle grinder. also have a small gen. that will work. 612 978 1524

can of compressed air that you use to clean electronics like keyboards. Spray it than hit with a hammer. Or supposedly a bic pen shoved in the round keyhole will work.

Cut the shackle with a regular old hacksaw dead center. It isn't hardened. The u part is however. If you need a portable tool, use a battery powered sawzall with a bi metal blade. If you need to cut the u part use a corundum blade. I have both if you need either.

I've got a Coleman Powermate 2000W Genny, I use it for camping... You are welcome to it. I work in New Brighton so it's not far for you.

Thanks all for the offers, Dcam had a nice 4KW generator that I used, didn't even unload it from the van, just ran the cord and was done in just a minute. If you have the tools, the job is easy.

Glad it worked out for you. I finally got mine running; it turned out be be bad gas (in the tank, not me).
